The Tradition is everything and more at Treetops Resort

27 November 2018

The Tradition at Treetops has everything that anyone could ever want in a fabulous golf experience. The Tradition is not a long 18 holes but at a par 70 is plenty challenging. The conditioning of this course meets exceptional standards demanded by the Treetops management.

The outstanding features of The Tradition are proof positive that shorter holes can be a great deal of fun and challenge simply due to designer touches. The Tradition is a wonderful layout for all levels of golf expertise. The greens are exceptional.

The Tradition at Treetops North joins 3 other designs at that location known lovingly as the Smith Signature course The Fazio Premier and Threetops, a par 3 gem.

Threetops is by far the finest par three golf course our group has ever played and reviewed in our 30 plus years of reviewing outstanding world class golf facilities.

To stand quietly on the 7 th tee on the exact spot where Lee Trevino hit his tee shot into the hole for an ace and a $1 million-dollar payday is truly awe inspiring. What brought tears to our eyes was that he donated much of his winnings that day. Another reason he is so loved by all who know him. Kindness, generosity and a heart as big as it can be.

In addition to Threetops and The Tradition there are 3 other courses as noted. The Tom Fazio Premier course, The Smith Signature Course and the Robert Trent Jones Sr. Masterpiece course will also amaze you. Challenge and conditioning are exceptional.

The Tradition has won many awards including a Golf Digest 4-1/2 star rating and Golf Magazine’s Silver Medal Resort. Overall, Treetops has won too many awards to list in this one article. Suffice it to say the awards list bestowed upon the Treetops family of courses would take up another page or two.

Couple all of this with excellent newly upgraded accommodations, exceptional practice and training facilities, outstanding meals and extraordinary service and you have the recipe for a truly world class golf experience that we highly recommend.
