Innovative new partnership proves Finca Cortesin in no soft touch

15 February 2019

Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf & Spa has joined the growing number of elite golfing venues to partner with Golfmanager, the rapidly-growing Spanish company offering the most modern golf club management software in the world.

The exclusive resort in Andalucia has joined the likes of Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, host venue of the 2022 Ryder Cup, and other top courses in Spain, Portugal and Italy to team up with the innovative firm to help manage its golf course operations.

Launched last summer, Golfmanager has quickly risen to become one of the world’s leading golf software providers, offering partners easy, quick and immediate online access to the most advanced and efficient software in the game.

The only golf software in Spain to be based entirely in the Internet cloud, the company’s innovative technology is compatible with any computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device, anywhere in the world. Offering its own apps market where new functions are launched every week, Golfmanager also offers open-source software to golf clubs, allowing golf managers to choose which other online technology they want to integrate.

“Finca Cortesin is always interested in partnering with companies and products that help us to improve the service that we offer to all our guests,” said Miguel Girbes, golf director of Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf & Spa.

“Working with Golfmanager means that all our needs are covered, while there is the added advantage of having access to new applications every day that will help take our golf club management to the next level.”

Rafael Vera, CEO of Golfmanager, said: “We’ve been thrilled with the response that we’ve received since launching our software, and partnering with a resort as prestigious as Finca Cortesin is an indication of just how far we’ve come in a short space of time.

“Golfmanager is becoming the next revolution in golf software, and offers the only online technology in the world that’s capable of adapting to all needs of a golf course in just a few days. It’s been an incredible first seven months, and we can’t wait to see where the next seven months take us.”

Opened in March 2006 and set across a vast 532-acre estate, Finca Cortesin – a member of the prestigious European Tour Properties Network – is regarded as one of Europe’s most exclusive modern golf and lifestyle destination resorts.
Designed by American Cabell Robinson, the par-72 layout has hosted numerous high-profile tournaments including the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Complementing the world-class golf course are outstanding practice facilities including a state-of-the-art Jack Nicklaus Golf Academy.

Located in the rolling hills of southern Spain, between Marbella and Sotogrande, with the Mediterranean to one side and the tranquil Casares Mountains to the other, Finca Cortesin’s other world-class facilities include an elegant 67-suite hotel, Hotel Cortesin; a 6,000sqm Beach Club; an award-winning spa featuring Spain’s only snow cave; and the choice of four restaurants.
