For the last sixteen years, the Irish-owned La Cala Resort celebrates the St. Patrick's Day Tournament, in honor of the foremost patron saint of Ireland. Participants must wear a green garment as a symbol of that day and the player with the most original garment will be awarded.

The event will take place on Sunday March 17 for which La Cala Resort has prepared a very special and funny day, with the purpose of enjoying golf and the Irish spirit, a community very well integrated in the Costa del Sol and passionate about this sport . This day, green, will also be the color par excellence. In fact, players must wear a garment of that color, the most original dress, will receive a special mention and will be awarded.

The tournament, which is in its 16th year, is open to players of any age or nationality. It has been chosen as a game modality 'Best Ball Couple'. The teams are in pairs and the five couples that get the best score will be awarded.

The Campo Europa, characterized by its with generous fairways and flatter terrain wide streets has been chosen to host this unique trophy. In addition, it includes several bridges that allow to cross the Ojén River.

Finally, the players will be able to taste as a reward to an intense sport morning, a typical and delicious Irish menu offered by La Cala Resort. Afterwards, the prizes will be handed out and the prize draw will be given by the sponsors of the event.

The price of participation is 62 euros per person and includes the Green fee, shared buggy, typical Irish lunch and the awards ceremony.
