Pacific Links establishes new standard in concierge travel with unique 'Butler Service'

06 November 2018

Asian golfers and destinations worldwide benefit from Pacific Links International’s dedicated travel concierge service, providing tailored ground handling and onsite support

The world’s premier golf network, Pacific Links International, has announced growth of its Asia-based concierge travel service in 2018, with more than 7,500 individual golfers expected to embark on golfing expeditions across an estimated 700 trips by year end.

With over 400 domestic and out-bound trips and a total of 5,500 individual travellers already booked with PLI’s ‘Butler Service’ to date*, it has fast become the most active membership of its kind.

Pacific Links has been a major player in the golf industry since 2012. The vision of global business magnate, Chairman Du Sha, the brand is recognised as the most prolific golf network. There are two key segments to the business: PLI International Members, currently comprised of almost 15,000 high-net worth Asian-based golfers with an A1 demographic profile and a passion for golf and travel; and a global reciprocal and affiliate programme that provides unique access to over 120,000 Network Golfers across a total of more than 340 Network Clubs in 33 countries.

Recognising the demand from destinations to tap into the lucrative Asian market but acknowledging the challenges of catering to cultural nuance and negotiating language barriers, PLI has established a ground service of company employees, providing onsite management for travelling guests.

“We alleviate any strain for our partner clubs and destinations by having our team of concierge experts on-hand during our guests’ experience, in unison with the club’s hospitality teams,” commented Chairman Du Sha. “We can therefore handle all requirements and ensure a wonderful experience.”

PLI is experiencing tremendous growth trajectory and is setting out plans to enhance its travel business with more targeted member engagement and by continuing to work with a growing number of clubs internationally which appreciate the revenue benefits of a partnership.

“Our approach has been recognised and embraced by a growing number of destinations and organisations interested in effectively tapping into the Asian golfing market,” said Rudy Anderson, President and CEO of Pacific Links International. “Asia, and particularly China, is a lucrative market but it is complex and difficult to penetrate. PLI has provided such targeted access for partners that tourism objectives, not only in golf, are being realised through concerted promotions and activation plans.

“As momentum and appreciation for the opportunities offered through PLI continue to build, we are on target with our growth strategy and continue to look at where new innovations and experiences can heighten our proposition to International Members and Network Clubs and Golfers.”
