The Golf Course at Adare Manor scoops another award at the 21st Gala Irish Golf Awards

Having recently claimed Virtuoso’s ‘Hotel of the Year 2018’ award, Adare Manor has received further recognition after being named IGTOA's (Irish Golf Tour Operators Association) ‘Golf Resort of the Year’.

The award came at IGTOA’s 2018 Gala Irish Golf Awards, hosted at Galgorm Resort and Spa, which recognises the very best in the Irish Golf Tourism Industry.

IGTOA represents Ireland’s leading Golf Tour Operators as well as other organisations that form the wider Irish Golf Tourism Industry. The 21st annual awards recognise the very best golf that Ireland has to offer including the best resorts and courses to individuals working within the industry deserving recognition.

This award, voted by a panel of expert tour operators and travel agents in Ireland, follows a stream of success for Adare Manor. Following their vast reconstruction, Tom Fazio took what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations. The Golf Course at Adare Manor, reopened in April 2018 following Fazio’s reconstruction, now finds itself regularly topping ‘best course’ lists, deservedly being discussed alongside some of the best courses in the world.

Following the win, Adare Manor CEO, Colm Hannon, commented: “The IGTOA Irish Golf Awards are a highlight of the Irish golf tourism calendar, and we are thrilled to be recognised as ‘The Golf Resort of the Year’ by experts in the industry.

“Achieving this award is a testament to the entire team here who are fully committed to providing a first-class service to all of our guests. Our goal is to offer a complete golf experience for every guest, that will leave them with long lasting memories and a desire to return again.”
