Every year Leadingcourses.com provides golf clubs throughout the world with 'seals of approval' based on the reviews of visiting golfers. Clubs can be awarded one of two type of seals of approval:
- Recommended (rating must be a 7.5 or higher on average)
- Outstanding (rating must be a 8.5 or higher on average)
The seal of approvals are always based on the prevailing rating on 31st of December. So, the recommended and outstanding badges for 2018 are based on all reviews till 31-12-2017. We only award a recommended or outstanding certificate if we have enough reviews (i.e. an active rating).
Build trust off- and online for free
Golfers can check if a golf club has been awarded a recommended or outstanding badge by checking the club page on Leadingcourses.com. If awarded, the recommended or outstanding badge should show on their clubpage. Golf clubs can also request window stickers for free via their Partner Extranet. Another great way to show golfers that they can expect a great day at this specific golf course. Golf clubs can also add the recommended and outstanding badge on their own website via our handy free widgets or they can simply copy the image (in the latter case, please always add a link to your club page so that golfers can check if the badge is genuine).
Every golf club also receives a certificate (a PDF which can be printed out) to ensure the authenticity of their seal of approval. A golf club can frame this certificate to show golfers how proud they are and that they appreciate the opinion of visiting golfers! Figure 3: Example of a certificate (Monte Rei Golf & Country Club) Every year the number of golf clubs with a recommended and outstanding certificate increases, which is great news. It means that golf clubs take the opinion of golfers seriously. Still there are a lot of golf clubs without such a certificate, so we still have a long road to go!
