Peter Finch becomes an official ambassador of Dundonald Links

03 May 2022

Dundonald Links has moved to further expand its UK and North American audiences by announcing a new partnership with leading social media influencer and PGA Professional, Peter Finch.

With a global following of more than 880,000, and over 470,000 subscribers on YouTube alone, the Ayrshire golf resort has partnered with Finch, who will use the venue and its world class facilities as a stunning backdrop for his popular content across the social media landscape.

And in a nod to the growing status of Dundonald Links, the resort was also recently announced as a venue for The Open Final Qualifying from 2023, providing Finch with the perfect place to hone his skills in his continued “Quest for The Open” challenge series.

The recent £25m overhaul at Dundonald Links, included a seven-figure investment in the golf course, plus creation of new luxury lodges, hotel rooms and a state-of-the-art clubhouse, marking Dundonald as the perfect stay and play location on Scotland’s golf-rich west coast.

Speaking about the new relationship, Peter Finch, said: “I am delighted to be partnering with such a prestigious venue as Dundonald Links and I believe that this will be a hugely beneficial opportunity to show off the quality of the course and to benefit my content production.

“I have visited the resort on a few occasions – both pre and post investment – and the transformation is remarkable. I am looking forward to spending plenty of time on site and to educating my global golfing community on the beauty of Dundonald Links.”

As well as 2023 Open Final Qualifying, Dundonald Links is also hosting several other major this year, such as the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open and The Trilby Tour Grand Final.

Ian Ferguson, General Manager at Dundonald Links, said: “Our reputation as one of the UK’s elite golf resorts continues to rise and it’s fantastic to be working alongside Peter Finch, an industry leader with a first-rate international audience.

“We can’t wait to view the content he produces from Dundonald Links, and we look forward to creating a prosperous and beneficial partnership.”
