Golf at Costa Navarino – the prime sustainable destination in the Mediterranean – is ready to swing into action with guests being welcomed for the new season from May 19th at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino and from May 23rd at The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort. Guests can once again enjoy the acclaimed The Bay and The Dunes courses, while a new experience awaits this autumn with golfers having the exclusive chance to play the first of the two new courses at Navarino Hills, named the ‘World’s Best New Golf Development’ at the 2020 World Golf Awards. GOLF TO SAVOUR
Costa Navarino features two signature 18-hole layouts - The Dunes Course, designed by Bernhard Langer, and The Bay Course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. – both offering thrilling and varied golfing challenges, beautifully manicured and nestled between sea and rolling hills. Beginners and budding future champions can experience expert tuition from PGA qualified professional instructors, while golfers are invited to travel light and take advantage of Costa Navarino’s range of new TaylorMade SIM2 rental sets.
In addition, a further new 36 holes are nearing completion at Navarino Hills, both designed by two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazábal, with the first course set to be introduced this autumn at the 5th Messinia Pro-Am, taking place from 24-27 November.
SPORT FOR ALL
In addition to the superb golfing experience, sports fans have a lot more to choose from for an active holiday experience.
Tennis lovers will get to experience the first European ‘Mouratoglou Tennis Center’, which is launched in partnership with renowned tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou. With 12 new state-of-the-art tennis courts, reaching a total of 16, guests will get to train with experienced Mouratoglou coaches who will deliver special training methodologies and tailor-made programs including private and group lessons, for adult and junior players alike.
Moreover, a wide range of watersports including kitesurfing, windsurfing, scuba diving and kayaking are also available together with mountain biking, road cycling, hiking and additional activities.
NEW FOR 2021
This season, Costa Navarino will introduce a one-of-a-kind teens hub with a series of exciting entertainment options for its young adult guests - including new on-trend culinary concepts and gaming activities. From VR gaming and bowling to an outdoor escape game, teens will have the time of their life, with carefree fun day and night.
MOUTHWATERING FLAVOURS
Off the golf course, the gastronomic journey at Navarino Dunes and the ‘al fresco’ dining options continue throughout the 21 restaurants, cafes and bars. This season, as the destination welcomes acclaimed chef Giannis Parikos, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in the chef’s new take on the menus at KooC Taverna Secrets Kafeneio and Souvlakerie.
Perovino will showcase the best of Greece's authentic comfort food with a contemporary flair, while for a more private affair, unique locations such as a traditional Messinian home, an idyllic setting amidst the olive groves or a Farm to Table lunch with homegrown produce in the vegetable gardens, will offer the ultimate dining experience.
Expert sommeliers will showcase the best of the region’s grape varieties and guests can find out more about the destination’s organic vineyards, where a traditional harvesting experience is available during the harvest season.
CELEBRATING THE BICENTENNIAL
2021 is a landmark year for Greece, celebrating the 200-year anniversary of the Greek Revolution. This is another reason, why visiting Peloponnese - the birthplace of the revolt - is undoubtedly a top choice this summer.
Inspired by the local heroes, traditions and stories of 1821, the authentic experiences at Costa Navarino get a unique twist, giving guests the opportunity to travel back in time. From gastronomic tastings, to cultural performances and curated tours that pay homage to the past, this season will be one to remember.

EASY ACCESS

New routes include flights from Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol as well as Stuttgart, Venice and Warsaw (with a convenient connection from New York).
UNWINDING IN SAFETY
Besides the protocols set by the World Health Organization and the Greek Authorities, a series of enhanced protection measures is in place, to ensure guests can unwind safely.
An in-house 24/7 medical and nursing team will be available, while regular molecular/PCR tests are conducted for associates. It is recommended that any guests who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 or have not recovered from Covid-19, have a PCR test within 72 hours prior to arrival. Alternatively, a Rapid Antigen test will be offered complimentary upon arrival, whereas upon request, PCR testing will be available on-site at a special price.
Moreover, the hotels have implemented the innovative system ‘Commitment to Clean’ developed by Marriott, setting new standards and specifications for cleanliness and hygiene in hospitality. Further measures include temperature measurements for everyone entering the resort, additionally hired trained staff for sanitization of public and private spaces, and a dedicated associate team to address the enhanced needs in health and safety. Mechanisms and digital services for zero or low-contact and transactions, as well as extended distancing limits are also in place.
