‘Only Paradise Will do’ Florida’s Paradise Coast pledges to keep visitors safe and healthy

10 August 2020

Florida’s Paradise Coast - Naples, Marco Island and Everglades, has launched a new campaign dedicated to welcoming visitors back safely. As a sign of this commitment, local businesses are taking the ‘Paradise Pledge’ to ensure that when future holidaymakers are ready to return, they continue to enjoy the highest standard of hospitality and experiences they are accustomed to.

Implementing strict health and safety measures and ensuring the maximum level of hygiene and social distancing measures are met, hotels and resorts, beaches, shops, spa’s, restaurants and attractions are now open and prioritising visitor and employee health and safety. The pledge aims to bring together these local businesses and the community to instill confidence in the measures Florida’s Paradise Coast has put in place; without compromising on quality.

“Safety is crucial for travellers right now, and we wanted to create something that would allow visitors to feel at little more at ease when they are frequenting businesses in Southwest Florida,” said Florida’s Paradise Coast CVB Executive Director Jack Wert. “We’re so proud of our businesses that have already taken the pledge and appreciate their commitment as we work together to keep our community strong.”

To further support the campaign, Florida’s Paradise Coast created a short film titled ‘Only Paradise Will Do’ with inviting footage complimented by messaging that demonstrates the destination's understanding of visitors' needs from a holiday post-lockdown.

“After months of playing in place, countless meals cooked at home, and endless backyard adventures, people are likely dreaming of their next getaway - and how to do it safely. When you feel comfortable enough to travel again, reward yourself with the stunning beaches, wide-open spaces, and impeccable hospitality Naples, and Marco Island are known for. Because after everything you’ve been through, only Paradise will do.”

Florida’s Paradise Coast sits on the Gulf of Mexico’s sparkling waters where 30 miles of scenic coastline meets endless outdoor adventure opportunities and natural wilderness. Many restaurants in Naples and Marco Island offer alfresco dining and with a multitude of parks and preserves to explore and seemingly endless beaches providing access to a multitude of water activities; Paradise Coast is an obvious contender for a post-lockdown holiday.

“It’s more important than ever to reconnect families with loved ones, to create treasured memories and feel safe. Florida’s Paradise Coast provides exactly what UK & Ireland visitors will be looking for in abundance; plenty of wide open spaces, fresh sea area and miles of tranquil beaches. This pledge will give tour operators and agents the confidence that not only are their clients health and safety needs being considered, but to the highest standard.” says Oonagh McCullagh-Boyle, UK and Ireland Director

Florida’s Paradise Coast understands the importance of health and wellness and is also a partner of Southwest Florida’s wellbeing improvement initiative; The Blue Zone Project. The combination of fresh sea air and access to the outdoors, combined with local produce and plentiful sunshine providing daily doses of Vitamin D, allows this community-wide project to take these free benefits and utilise them in a way to improve the lives of residents and visitors to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.
