19/06/24 – To celebrate its 15^th anniversary, one of Europe’s leading golf resorts is rolling out the red carpet by hosting a series of international events, debuting new accommodation options and offering an opportunity to play the acclaimed course at a special celebratory rate. Seven-times winner at the World Golf Awards, Modry Las Golf Resort - The PGA National Poland is set to welcome golfers from around the world to help celebrate its anniversary year.

Opened in 2009, Poland’s only signature golf course recently completed the finishing touches to an impressive clubhouse and successfully upgraded its irrigation system; an investment designed to elevate the Gary Player-designed course even further. Now in its 15^th year, the world-class venue resort is ready to unveil six new garden suites as part of the festivities marking the important landmark.

“Every year is a milestone,” noted Arthur Gromadzki, chairman of Modry Las, “but our 15^th seems special because of what we have achieved in a relatively short space of time. It gives us an opportunity to look back and appreciate how far we have come. To think Modry Las is now a Top 100 European course and part of a distinguished collection of the world’s leading golf resorts as a PGA National-branded property is staggering. There’s a lot to be proud of, and a lot to celebrate.”

Coinciding with the resort’s festivities, Modry Las will host the International Polish Championships between 7^th - 9^th June. It will then welcome dignitaries from around Europe during a special invite-only event for embassy ambassadors, with the celebrations concluding over the weekend following the official anniversary on the 4^th July. On the 6^th and 7^th of July, the green fees to play the championship course at Modry Las will be slashed to €15 to encourage as many golfers as possible to participate in the gala weekend.

“We want to share our birthday with the widest possible range of golfers, from the best in the country to those who are just falling in love with the game,” said Gromadzki. “I think it is important that Modry Las welcomes the finest players, European dignitaries and sports fans of all kinds particularly as we celebrate such an important stage in our development.”

Recently, Modry Las was included in the latest Top 100 listing published by the UK magazine Golf World. The 2024 Best Value Courses in Continental Europe was, according to its editor, all about “getting the highest level of quality for your money”. Modry Las came in at #68. “Poland has quality golf as well as being well priced,” Chris Bertram noted. “You’ll be absolutely staggered at how good [Modry Las] is.”

This latest listing supports the inclusion of Modry Las in Golf World’s Top 100 Courses in Continental Europe in which the course was described as a “quality track”. This list was published in 2022 and since then there have been a series of significant improvements made to both the course and the accommodation.

“Over the last few years, we’ve made a number of major changes around the resort, including an upgraded irrigation system and extended cart paths” Gromadzki noted. “This year we will be debuting six new garden suites which will include heated floors and a terrace overlooking the 16^th green. This will bring the total number of on-site double/twin rooms at Modry Las to 31.”

He continued: “The first 15 years at Modry Las have been an extraordinary journey. I am sure whatever happens next will be equally exciting.”

Modry Las is a 27-hole facility with a 2,000m² clubhouse with a restaurant for over 70 covers, a conference venue and fully equipped spa.
