Fancourt, located in George (as part of the Garden Route), has become a global landmark for golfing and leisure travel. Golf takes pride of place, and deservedly so. Designed by a team led by Gary Player, all three of the estate’s 18-hole golf courses – Montagu, Outeniqua and The Links, a privately owned club, – have garnered praise from the international golfing community, and their fairways attract players from all corners of the world. Fancourt accomplishes this feat of continued excellence by embracing the present, with an eye to the future, and never forgetting the past. This is symbolised in Fancourt’s recent refurbishment of the golfing facilities, including new golf carts.

Recently, work has been done to improve and upgrade guests’ golfing experiences at Fancourt, including:

• Various operational golfing procedures have been moved back of house and are no longer visible to guests, enhancing the aesthetics.
• Golf cart parking has been improved and extended
• the area in front of the Club Lounge no longer houses golf carts or a starters hut, as these have been moved underground, to a new staging area with easy access.

Fancourt has introduced the new Club Car Precedent i2 electric golf cart into inventory, replacing the current E-Z-Go fleet.
