Alcanada maintains sky-high standards by winning Customer Service Award for 4th year in a row

15 March 2023

Mallorca’s beautiful Club de Golf Alcanada has further enhanced its reputation for excellence after winning one of 59club’s prestigious ‘Gold Flag’ awards for the fourth year running.

Alcanada has been a recipient of the award, which recognises outstanding customer service, every year since 2020 and director of golf Kristoff Both was on hand to receive the latest honour at the prize-giving ceremony of the annual 59club awards, which were held at The Hilton in St George’s Park, Staffordshire, this month.

The 59club Awards recognise the finest customer service providers for having achieved the highest standards of excellence in a calendar year. 59club’s accolades are determined by scores collected from their impartial mystery shopping audits, which evaluate the experience afforded to guests, club members and prospective members, in accordance with 59club’s objective benchmarking criteria.

Both said: "We are always looking for ways to improve in every department, whether that is in our sustainability initiatives, the quality of the golf course, or perhaps most importantly our customer service and the experience we offer to our members and guests.

“After first being awarded by the 59Club in 2015, I am very proud that Alcanada has reached a level where we have secured Gold Flag Designations every year since 2020. With lots of exciting plans in place this year, we are confident of keeping that run going in 2023."

The accolade continues a sparkling start to 2023 for Alcanada and comes just weeks after the venue was named Mallorca’s best layout by Top 100 Golf Courses. The respected website placed Alcanada at number 16 in its update list of the best courses in Spain, making it the highest-rated golf course in the Balearic Islands.

Since opening to the public 20 years ago, Alcanada’s par-72 course has received widespread acclaim both for its imaginative design and magnificent Mediterranean views. The layout bears all the hallmarks of prolific designer Robert Trent Jones Jnr and recently hosted the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final Presented by The R&A.

The course is characterised by constant changes in elevation and show-stopping scenery, particularly across the back nine as the route weaves downhill towards the coast and iconic lighthouse. Complementing the layout is Mallorca’s first Toptracer driving range, as well as a terrace restaurant and well-stocked pro shop.
