The all-year-round appeal of Quinta do Lago as an overseas destination for European golfers is bigger than ever before, with places for the luxury Portuguese resort’s annual ‘Golden Tournament’ sold out more than three months before it is held next month.

Taking place from November 23-30, the event offers men and women the unmissable opportunity to experience the resort’s world-famous golf courses and outstanding restaurant and hospitality options.

And this year’s tournament has proved especially popular, with 22 teams of four people each from the UK, Ireland and Portugal moving quickly to accept the exclusive invitation to enjoy a fun-packed week on and off the fairways.

Costing from €799 per person, the tournament will see golfers of all abilities compete over 54 holes on Quinta do Lago’s award-winning Laranjal, North and South championship courses for an array of glittering prizes, with the event finishing with a separate 18-hole pairs competition.

Tournament packages feature seven nights’ bed-and-breakfast in a range of hotel and villa accommodation options – including the resort’s boutique The Magnolia Hotel – as well as a welcome cocktail, tournament entry and a practice round, and a midweek buffet and gala dinner with prize-giving at the venue’s acclaimed Bovino Steakhouse.
