Costa Navarino introduces the new golf development at Navarino Hills

15 October 2019

Visitors to IGTM, in Marrakech next week, will be able to learn about the latest developments at the multi-award-winning Costa Navarino (stand #H02).

Costa Navarino is already developing two further golf courses, designed by Ryder Cup legend José María Olazábal at Navarino Hills, while having recently further elevated the existing offering, with the opening of a new earth-sheltered clubhouse on the Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed Bay Course.

New cart paths and an improvement in the course routing all add to the unquestionable quality of the two golf courses at the destination, with the Bay Course and the Bernhard Langer-designed Dunes Course ensuring a continuous upgrade of the golf experience.

Costa Navarino’s offering extends beyond golf though, as this sustainable, multi-sport, destination is home to two luxury five-star hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino.

German champions Bayern Munich host summer soccer camps for youngsters, while the Racquet Academy encompasses tennis, squash, and padel, with table tennis, racquethlon, badminton, speedminton, beach tennis and beach racquets all available.

The breathtaking landscape and pristine coastal location on the historic Messinian region, make it an ideal location for hiking, road cycling, mountain-biking, sailing and diving among others. It is also the venue for the IRONMAN 70.3 Costa Navarino, which returns for its next edition on April 5, 2020.

To discover more about Costa Navarino, visit stand H02, or attend Farhad Heydari’s Big Interview: Costa Navarino & New Zealand, on Wednesday, October 16, from 10-10.30 at the IGTM Theatre, where the destination’s golf & sport business development director, Nuno Sepúlveda, will join the discussion.

Costa Navarino is the prime, sustainable destination in the Mediterranean, located in the Greek region of Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese. One of the most unspoiled and breathtaking seaside Mediterranean landscapes, this area has been shaped by 4,500 years of history.

Its philosophy is driven by a genuine desire to promote Messinia, while protecting and preserving its natural beauty and heritage. It will comprise a number of distinct sites featuring five-star deluxe hotels, luxury private residences, conference facilities, spa and thalassotherapy centres, signature golf courses, as well as a wide range of unique year-round activities for adults and children.

Navarino Dunes, the first area, is home to two luxury five-star hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino; Navarino Residences, a collection of luxury villas for private ownership; and The Residences at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino – fully furnished resort apartments for sale; the signature golf course The Dunes Course; Anazoe Spa, a 4,000m2 spa and thalassotherapy centre; the state-of-the-art conference centre House of Events; specially designed facilities for children; and a variety of gastronomy venues, sports, outdoor and cultural activities. Navarino Bay, the second area, is home to the signature golf course, The Bay Course.

Navarino Hills, with two 18-hole golf courses, is currently under construction, and there are two further sites underway.
