Cambodia crowned as the Winner of the Asia Pacific Best Golf Destination of The Year Award at the Asia Golf Tourism Convention 2025 held in Da Nang, Vietnam voted by 700+ IAGTO members across the world.

Organized by IAGTO, The Global Golf Tourism Organization, the 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) is the most prominent golf tourism event in the Asia-Pacific region.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication, passion, and hard work from so many individuals and organizations; from Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia Golf Federation, Golf courses, hotels and tour operators who have helped to make our destination a world-class haven for golfers”, says Candra Tanpatti, Director of GreenJoyTours Cambodia on his acceptance speech on the stage.

“Cambodia has a total of twelve golf courses currently, with another three ongoing projects. The main golf destinations are Phnom Penh, the capital city and also Siem Reap, the home of Angkor Wat Temple. The new airport in Phnom Penh is scheduled to open later this year with bigger capacity and able to receive larger aircraft for long haul flights. Once again, thank you for this incredible honor. On the same occasion, Phokeethra Country Club wins the award for the Best Golf Course in Cambodia.
