Ajman, United Arab Emirates, May 09, 2025
Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, one of the Middle East’s most prestigious sporting venues, has launched a pioneering all-female caddie initiative in a move that is set to redefine personalised golf service in the region.
As part of a pilot programme, an initial group of eight caddies will work across Al Zorah’s acclaimed Nicklaus Design championship course, newly opened clubhouse and practice facilities in the club’s latest move to enhance the luxury customer experience it offers to members and guests.
Each caddie hired as part of the innovative initiative brings extensive experience at another top-tier golf club and the group has begun a carefully planned training and onboarding programme. Led by head of golf Austin Cahill and golf course supervisor Paul Botes, the new recruits are already learning the intricacies of the par-72 layout.
Phil Henderson, general manager of Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, said: “By offering guests the chance to play with experienced caddies who know the nuances of Nicklaus Design’s wonderful course inside out, we’re enhancing our on-course service and introducing a fresh, meaningful dynamic to the game.
“Like everything we do here, the goal behind this initiative is to deliver excellence, diversify the player journey and open the door for more people to enjoy golf in a supportive and innovative environment.”
The caddie initiative is the latest new investment to be made by Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club – developed by Al Zorah Development Company, a joint venture between the Government of Ajman and Solidere International – following the opening of an eagerly anticipated new clubhouse earlier in the spring.
The luxurious building features three stunning dining options, a fitness centre, two outdoor swimming pools and retail and changing facilities – as well as a rooftop bar offering panoramic views across one of the most naturally beautiful parts of the region.
After successfully retaining the coveted Gold Flag status at the annual 59club Middle East & Africa Service Excellence Awards, Al Zorah’s busy schedule continued last month when the club hosted a tournament on the HotelPlanner Tour for the first time in its burgeoning history, while other notable events in 2025 will include the return of the Clutch Pro Tour after a successful debut last year.

About Al Zorah City
The Al Zorah area is considered one of the UAE’s most spectacular tourist destinations in the Emirate of Ajman. Major attractions in the area include luxury resorts on the seashore overlooking the Arabian Gulf and an 18-hole championship golf course. Walkways, jogging, and cycling trails, restaurants and cafes, a marina, beachfront villas and apartments on the banks of the creek, make it the perfect place to visit, live, and play for the whole family. In addition, the area includes the Al Zorah Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful natural features in the Emirate of Ajman. It is an ideal destination for lovers of ecological and natural tourism and mangroves, which provide a suitable environment for resident and migratory birds. The abundance of natural water allows for the various plants and tree species to thrive, as well as an abundant ecosystem of large groups of fish and magnificent coral reefs.
Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club
Designed by Nicklaus Design and opened for play in 2015. Played through a natural setting as the layout sweeps around two huge lakes. A state-of-the-art clubhouse will complement the beauty of the golf course – set to be completed in early 2025 – and is designed to provide golfers and guests with the most pleasurable experience of its amenities with a gym, swimming pools, tennis courts and rooftop bar, as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas.
