One of Europe’s top golf and wellness resorts takes steps to elevate its market awareness and drive its business performance

Bavaria, Germany, November 12th 2018: Performance54 was today announced as the Sales & Marketing partner of Quellness Golf Resort in Bad Griesbach, Bavaria, Germany. The relationship is designed to increase awareness in key markets and drive international and domestic visitor numbers through creative sales and marketing services.

Regarded as one of the world’s leading wellness destinations, Bavaria is rich in scenic views, historical landmarks and the thermal springs of the Rottal Valley, famed for their healing properties and known to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The resort takes its name from the region’s legendary waters, the word ‘Quelle’ being German for ‘spring’.

Quellness is perfectly positioned to take advantage of Bavaria’s greatest attributes; boasting five championship golf courses and three luxury spa hotels, the venue has in recent years hosted several European Tour events.

“Bad Griesbach is a unique setting, home to outstanding scenery and the famed Bavarian hospitality,” commented Jed Moore, Managing Director, Performance54. “We will be working closely with the team at Quellness Golf Resort to bring to life the cultural, golf and wellness story, targeting golf travellers looking for that something a little bit different.”

The Maximillian, Furstenhof and Das Ludwig hotels of the resort each offer generous spas and wellness areas with thermal pools, served by the Marienquelle, Karlsquelle and Nikolausquelle springs, and provide a therapeutic atmosphere in which to rest and recuperate.

Three of its five 18-hole layouts, framed by rolling green hills and ancient forests, were designed by German golfing legend, Bernhard Langer, and are complemented by a PGA Academy; extensive training and practice facilities; and three nine-hole golf courses, one six-hole practice course and one six-hole kids’ course. The Beckenbauer course was host of the European Tour’s Porsche European Open from 2015-16 and then again for the 2017 Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.

“Golf in Bad Griesbach has been shaped by the development of Quellness Golf Resort and with the expertise of Performance54’s global team, we will be able to integrate our brand and message more thoroughly with trade partners and shape consumer perception,” commented Andy Gerleigner, CEO of Quellness Golf Resort.

“It is not only the golf that distinguishes the venue, but the legendary healing properties of our natural thermal springs. It has been home to health-seekers for generations and provides an idyllic escape for those looking to rejuvenate.”

Performance54 will draw on services from its sales division, targeting the lucrative golf tourism sector in key global markets; its PR & Communications and Creative Services teams to bring to life a fresh narrative and campaign; and counsel from its Strategic Consulting division on how to maximise sustainable revenue performance.
