COSTA NAVARINO: Season opener draws golfers from across the globe

26 November 2019

The season-opening, fourth annual Messinia Pro-Am, at Costa Navarino, in February, is attracting interest worldwide, with golfers from more than 20 countries already registered to take part.

Amateur golfers have until January 10 to register for the final remaining places for a tournament that promises world-class golf across Costa Navarino's Dunes and Bay courses, and an itinerary full of activities, social functions, and great weather.

Hollywood actor Bill Murray was the star turn at this year's event, won by Italian pro Alessandro Tadini, and professionals will be competing for a €50,000 prize pot next year at the prime sustainable golf destination in Greece's Peloponnese.

In this idyllic and relaxing setting, participants can join a good cause, too, with funds raised throughout the event for SOS Children's Villages, which creates families for children in need, helping them shape their own futures and sharing in the development of their communities.

Golfers will enjoy exemplary facilities, a breathtaking seaside landscape and a mild February climate with five-night, five-round competitor packages starting from €1,567 per person based on two sharing at the five-star Westin Resort Costa Navarino.

In addition to accommodation and golf, the packages also include three dinners - welcome reception, charity social event, and prizegiving ceremony - plus shared buggies; transfers to and from the Dunes Course; on-course refreshments and a light lunch for the three tournament rounds.

A new spectacle for participants in February will be the earth-sheltered clubhouse at the Bay Course, which opened this summer. Affording stunning vistas across the historic Bay of Navarino, the new clubhouse enhances Costa Navarino's commitment to delivering for its guests the most memorable of golfing experiences.

Costa Navarino is world renowned for its pristine coastal location, but also has a reputation for its luxury hospitality, real estate, and commitment to the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility, while also  promoting the region of Messinia's natural beauty and heritage.

The four-day Messinia Pro-Am takes place at Costa Navarino from February 19-22, 2020. Register for one of the few remaining places in the tournament here, before January 10, 2020.
