The Acha family group, owner of Añoreta Golf, acquires the historic Elimar hotel in Rincón de La Victoria.

The Acha family, owner of Añoreta Golf, will renovate the hotel to expand it and upgrade it from three to four stars, under the name of FAY Victoria Beach, in memory of the founder of the group, Felipe Acha Yagüe.

Located on the beachfront, the idea of the heirs of Felipe Acha is to completely remodel the three-star hotel, to upgrade it, in what would be the third four-star hotel in the municipality, and will be renamed FAY Victoria Beach and combine it with Añoreta Golf, to also attract international golf tourism.

The hotel currently has 78 rooms, but the Acha family's intention is to remodel the two buildings in order to renovate all the rooms and expand them up to a hundred, with an investment of around three million euros. The work will be completed by the end of 2022.

The idea is to completely renovate the facilities and expand the hotel's services, from the lobby to the rooms, substantially improving the gastronomic offer, under the direction of German Bautista, and to create a beach club and expand the wellness services related to sports and health.

The objective is to expand and complete the experience of the guests who come to the Añoreta Golf facilities, with which the link will obviously be close, since the hotel is located on the beachfront and only five minutes from the golf course, which will allow the Acha family to develop a sports tourism project.

Founded by Felipe Acha Yagüe, Añoreta Golf, now Añoreta Resort, has the first golf course built in Axarquia, an 18-hole, par 72 course, designed in 1990 by one of the best Spanish golfers, José María Cañizares, with all kinds of services. The sports offer is completed with an international center of improvement, CIA Golf, and a paddle club.

The Resort is completed by 8 exclusive suites to enjoy a weekend as a couple or with the family, with discounts on Green Fees, and accommodation packages with golf included. The experience is completed with leisure activities and a varied gastronomic offer consisting of the innovative Bendita Catalina and Tenderete.

The group has a staff of about 70 people, which will increase to a hundred with the acquisition of the Elimar hotel. In this way, the Acha family continues the legacy started by businessman Felipe Acha Yagüe, who passed away a year ago. "We continue with his work, we continue betting for Rincón de la Victoria, for Málaga, doing different projects and trying to leave our mark", explains Ángel Acha.
